G’day,

You may have noticed, by my choice of greeting, I am a fun-loving Australian, seeking adventure while attending Jacksonville University in the United States. The thought of moving to a new country, exactly 11,389 miles away from home always excited me. In 2016 my dream came true, and the Sunshine State became my home away from home.

I love to travel and have visited seven different countries, including Singapore, Scotland, and Thailand. I learn so much from other cultures and through shared experiences and believe that travel has made me a better person.  As a wise, beloved writer once said, “not all those who wander are lost” – J.R.R Tolkien, and in my experience, wandering around the globe is where I truly find myself.

I do, however, on occasion, miss a hilarious bunch of people I am lucky enough to call my family. This close-knit group of individuals is driven by quick-witted humor, sarcasm, and good ol’ Aussie banter. From a young age, I quickly learned to take it and dish it back out as a matter of survival. Yet no matter how many wisecracks are made at one another, I am blessed to be born into such a loving and open-armed family. No matter how far I may roam, my family still remains close to my heart.

For me, life is an interesting thing. Some people try to figure out why life is worth living, what is the purpose of life and if life is meaningful. I believe that life is what you make of it; the experiences, the people, and the lessons learned.

Life is my biggest journey of all. I aim to live mine passionately and creatively. I am drawn to be creative in all areas of my life; through my academics, as I plan to pursue a profession in Communications after college, athletics as I love playing and hearing of the history of lacrosse, and my hobbies including writing, painting, and photography.

I may have tendencies to look far into the symbolic meanings of art, whether it be visual art, music or the natural arts of the world and its peoples. Through art and the process of creating I’m able to understand a story. On this page, you will see some of my own creations and reflections designed to give you further insight as to who I am.
