Jacksonville University Kerr-McGee Superfund Research

Jacksonville University’s Marine Science Research Institute (MSRI) initiated a STEAM project that aims to research and monitor the contamination of water samples taken from various sites of the St. Johns River.

The Kerr-McGee Superfund site is amongst eight locations along the St. Johns, and is identified on the Environmental Protection Agency’s National Priority List.

MSRI combines with Jacksonville University’s Communication department to obtain and distribute information of the St. Johns River in an aim to educate, raise awareness and inspire revitalization.

I would like to thank The Kookaburra Coffee for bringing a slice of home here to America. As an Australian living in the US, I notice the small things that can make one feel homesick and at times it can be difficult knowing that I am 18,000 miles away from the land down under. Your cafe culture and Australian style pies made me feel at home. Thank you again I had so much fun filming and am excited I get to share your story.
